About

Administrator

After receiving her Administration and Supervision certification from St. Peter's University, Nancy Kutsup applied for the position of Administrative Assistant. In this role, she immediately oversaw the new Educational Vistas program at the high school and prepared for the State’s Collaborative Assessment and Planning for Achievement (CAPA) evaluation visitation.

Through this position, Mrs. Kutsup received intensive training from both Ed Vistas and the State of New Jersey, becoming well-versed in state requirements for educational improvement. Her responsibilities included organizing teacher groups to facilitate the planning and writing of school improvement plans. After several years as an Administrative Assistant, the state no longer recognized that title, and the position was changed to Vice Principal, to which she applied and was successfully appointed.

Mrs. Kutsup spent the rest of her career as one of the Vice Principals of Garfield High School, focusing on academic improvement. During this time, she worked with Bergen Community College (BCC) to establish the Early College Program.

Additionally, Mrs. Kutsup collaborated with two main teams: one focused on data and state reporting, while the other focused on academic achievement and initiatives. The academic initiatives committee reviewed data to determine which students received honor status and demonstrated significant growth from the previous year.
