With a focus on providing the best education for her students, Nancy Kutsup attended the week-long Hands and Minds Institute offered by the Art Educators of New Jersey. This opportunity allowed her to learn from some of the best educators in the nation. After a week of intense training, Mrs. Kutsup was able to write curricula in the visual arts that addressed all areas of visual art: art history, criticism, aesthetics, and production, as a basis for creating, understanding, and appreciating works of art. She completed curricula for six courses at the high school and later collaborated with art teachers at all levels to help rewrite curricula, ensuring a proper continuum of education in the visual arts.
