It’s unfortunate that people feel the need to spread misinformation instead of focusing on the facts. Yes, we were in the area of School 9, just as others have done in the past.  Let’s set the record straight, we did not hand out any campaign materials to students. Instead, we spoke with parents and wished the kids a good morning, because that’s what any polite and respectful person does.

Desperate? No. Dedicated? Absolutely. We care about this town, and we care about its children. The real disgrace is trying to twist a simple act of courtesy into something negative.

Let us also remind you, School 9 is not just any school; it’s our neighborhood school. It was formerly Rich’s daughters’ school. Nancy attended School 9 for elementary school, as did her daughter. Both Nancy’s daughter and son later attended School 9 for middle school. Rich’s wife also served as the president of the HSA there.

We were raised here and educated here.   We continue to support this town. Our presence there was to inform the parents of what we stand for in this election!

As for the accusation that we don’t care about bullying; let us be clear: we have always stood against bullying in all forms, whether it’s in schools or in the community. Spreading falsehoods and attacking people without facts? That’s the real problem here. Let’s focus on making Garfield better, not tearing each other down.

If anyone has questions, we invite them to have a real conversation with us instead of relying on rumors, especially from anonymous and inaccurate posters on social media sites. Just DM us on Facebook.  We are here for the community, as we always have been.
